halfway there

I came to Beloit again this weekend and we worked on our kitchen/breakfast room area some more. We are slowly but steadily making progress. as long as I'm there to crack the whip :o)... just kidding. Sort of. Anyways it is bright. Not exactly what I was thinking... maybe it was, I don't really know. Hopefully once all the trim is painted and the doors and the new flooring is in it will look better. Not that it doesn't look good now, because I actually like it, it's just very bright... and yellow. So what do you think... and you can be honest. It won't hurt my feelings because we're out of this house in 18 months anyways. I figure this is my experiment house for me to try out things and see what I like and don't like for our next house. ;-)
I have two hellish weeks coming up in which I have 5 tests and I have to run anesthesia, i.e. be solely responsible for the dog not dying, so there will probably not be any new changes during that time seeing as how I won't be going to Beloit and Ben is crazy busy with work right now. I am still hoping that we will get it semi finished by Thanksgiving but that is probably wishful thinking. We shall see.
Oh and to answer mom's question, and anyone else who might be wondering... we are in a holding pattern on the bedroom because we're waiting for the people to come and replace the window. We can't start hanging the ceiling things until then I guess... I don't know. That's Ben's deal. Maybe that will get done... someday.
